Ask for a patch test next time you're in a professional salon - that will tell them if your hair can withstand the chemical treatment.

I can't believe you were turned away, though, there are lots worse things you can do to your hair and I've done a lot of them. And some of those bad things were even done in a salon...

Love this entry! ;-)

@bryang: Thanks for the top tip. We’ll fling that one in the direction of the tech heads.

@Johnny Cricket: Glad you found something of interest. We love the stuff the witty writers come up with, but of course we’re biased.

On a completely (almost unrelated) note, just to let you know that I occasionally masquerade as a cordon bleu chef/writer. You’ll find my latest recipe over at Puzzling Posts (great Canadian writer that blogger and he only does it as a sideline. Also a super father, but that’s another matter.):

Check out these guest posts by witty Dad Mike on this blog: <a href="http://blog.thewittery.com/?p=242" rel="nofollow">Virtually Dating</a> and <a href="http://blog.thewittery.com/?p=123" rel="nofollow">Our Olympic Heroes</a>.

Whats up, A nice blog, I must say this is really what we are here for, this place definitely needs posters like you. Filling the forum with some good tips and information, I did follow A couple of your posts, they been relevant and nice points were elaborated. I must say we should invariably be prepared to post within our best knowledge to compliment people. Really appreciate your post.

Great post and so true!

Hey one little tip, since you said you are just coming to the game. I went to share your link with my peeps and noticed that your URLs are number based. Have your web person switch them over to natural language URLs, pretty easy to do with Wordpress and will help with searches and finding your own Linkerati :)

@Lydia. Glad it had an effect on you.

We have to build in laughter time at The Wittery when the copy comes in from the witty writers. It's an occupational hazard (lucky us I hear you whisper).

Jens,

Women + handbags + contents thereof = lots of intrigue and strategy (sometimes).

Re Content: I love your comment about a visible voice.

Visual words are also great. I find that when I read blog posts that conjure up a mental image or picture, I tend to remember the blog post better. Creative writers have a particular ability to do this and can certainly help the business blogger to find that voice and draw those mental pictures.
